A special thought for the day
At the Seattle Olympics, nine disabled contestants assembled at the starting line for the 100 yards dash. At the gun they all started running except one boy who stumbled and began to cry. The other eight heard him. They all turned around and went back.
One girl with Down’s Syndrome bent down and kissed him and said this will make it better. Then all nine linked arms together and walked to the finishing line. The whole stadium cheered for ten minutes.
Deep down everyone knew they had witnessed something special.
What matters in life is more than winning for ourselves. What truly matters is helping others win
even if it means slowing ourselves down or even changing course
