April Family Mass
The April Family Mass will take place in Gortnahoe at 10.30am 2nd April, Palm Sunday (There will be no Family Mass in Glengoole this month). The theme is Beginning Our Easter Journey. All children are invited to join a procession with the 'palms' at the start of mass. There will be a music practice from 10am, and we warmly welcome any children or adults who would like to join us singing. Artwork completed by the children will be brought to the altar and displayed afterwards.

  • Spy Wednesday – Chrism Mass in the Cathedral, 7.30pm
  • Holy Thursday – Glengoole, 7pm
  • Good Friday – Gortnahoe 3pm
  • Easter Vigil – Glengoole, Saturday 7.30pm
  • Easter Sunday – Gortnahoe, 10.30am

Trócaire Boxes available
Trócaire Boxes are available at back of the church. Please support Trócaire because it is only when we work together that we can build a truly just world.

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole on Wednesdays 10am to 2pm
Gortnahoe on Thursdays 11am – 1pm

The Rosary
The Rosary will be recited before Mass in Glengoole on Saturday evenings. Volunteers to lead the rosary are welcome.

Holy Communion at Home
If anyone is housebound and would like to receive Holy Communion – we can organise to have it brought to you safely.

Help avoid the spread of Covid
Due to the rise in Covid numbers we recommend: (a) the wearing of Face Coverings when attending Mass; (b) use of Hand Sanitiser & (c) the reception of Holy Communion on the hands only.

Split the Pot
Split the Pot will be in support of Gortnahoe Playschool. Envelopes are available at the usual outlets. The draw takes place each Sunday at 12pm in Gortnahoe Hall.

Bingo in Gortnahoe Hall
Gortnahoe Bingo continues in Gortnahoe Hall every Saturday night at 7.00pm with doors opening at 6.00pm. Over €2,660 in prize money. Parish support is appreciated.

Ballingarry Tractor/Vintage Run
Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry Tractor/Vintage Run on Sunday 26th March at 1pm (registration 12 noon) in aid of Trocaire Lenten Campaign. Entry €20 per vehicle.

Hallelujah Concert
Fr Ray Kelly (Britain’s Got Talent Fame) on Friday March 24th, 2023, in Bóthar na Naomh Church. Tickets now on sale in Thurles Parish Office.

ACCORD is currently recruiting volunteers
ACCORD is currently recruiting volunteers to train as marriage preparation facilitators. Marriage facilitators are part of a team that prepare couples for the Sacrament of Marriage. If you are interested, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact marriagepreparation@accord.ie for more information.

Tipperary Leader Programme 2023-2027.
Consultation meeting on how the grant aid can best be spent will be held in St Mary’s Hall, Killenaule on Monday 27th March at 7.30pm. All Community and Social Inclusion groups and Entrepreneurs are welcome.
