Masses this week
Gortnahoe: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9.30.
Glengoole Monday and Wednesday at 9.30.

Confirmation on Tuesday 28th February
The Confirmation of 46 children attending Gortnahoe, Glengoole and Ballysloe Schools will take place on Tuesday 28th February at 11.00 in Gortnahoe Church . A very warm welcome is extended to Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly, who will give the sacrament of confirmation to those children. A very warm welcome also to all who will come to give their support to those children.

Ash Wednesday
Masses in Glengoole at 9.30 and 7.00 and in Gortnahoe at 9.30 and 8.00. Ashes will be blessed and distributed at all Masses. It marks the beginning of Lent. Trocaire boxes will be available on the first week-end of Lent. Please give generously to help fight the awful hunger throughout the world.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions at 6.30. Mass at 7.00.
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass at 8.00.

Diocesan Needs Collection
The Annual Collection for the Diocesan Needs will be taken up next week-end. Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March. Envelopes were distributed at the beginning of the year. Please give generously to this Collection.

Women’s Day of Prayer
Women’s Day of Prayer Service will be in Kilcooley Hill School Community Centre on Thursday 2nd March at 8.00. Come along to join in the prayer.

Day of Prayer for all who have suffered abuse
Special Day of Prayer for all who have suffered abuse, will be on Friday next 3rd March. This is at the request of Pope Francis. A special Evening of Prayer will be in Thurles Cathedral for this intention starting at 9.00. Come along.

Folk Choir practice in Gortnahoe
Gortnahoe Folk Choir will hold a practice in Gortnahoe Church on Wednesday 8th March from 7.30 to 8.30. This is in preparation for Evening Mass on 16th March and the Easter Ceremonies. All interested in singing or playing, please come along.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Glengoole
Weekly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Glengoole Church on Wednesday from 10.00 to 6.45 and Gortnahoe Church on Thursday from 10.00 to 7.00. We encourage as many as possible to visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Scripture Classes During Lent
Diocesan Scripture Classes During Lent will begin at Fr. Tirry Community Hall, Barrack Street, Fethard, on Thursday next 2nd February at 7.30pm. A very warm welcome to all from surrounding parishes to attend and value such learning and participation.
