2018, the Year of the Family
All through this year great interest in the support of Families and Family Life receives great emphasis in the |Church, especially leading up to and during World Meeting of Families which takes place in Ireland from August 21st to August 26th especially in the Archdiocese of Dublin from 21st to 26st August, during which days we hope Pope Francis will be able to be with us for the celebration. Please prepare.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes
Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in 2018 will take place on 16th to 21st June. Fully inclusive price €715. Information and Booking Forms from Fr. Irwin or Fr. This week there was no winner of the Jackpot of €14,000. Numbers drawn were, 6, 8, 13 & 22. Lucy Dip winners were Paddy Stapleton, Mary O’Neill, Gortnahoe, Ger O’Keeffe, Poynstown, Dermot Ryan, Rathbeg. Sellers Prize went to Sean Hickey, Georges Park, Next week’s Draw for €14,200 Jackpot will be on 11th Jan. 2018, at Prouts.

Music Classes at Gortnahoe Hall
The teaching of music in Gortnahoe Hall begins on Monday 19th January and continues each Monday after that. The instruments being taught are guitar, banjo and bodhrán. The tutors are Nicky Brewer, (guitar), and Ger Healy, (banjo and bodhrán). Be ready to join the Classes.

Bereaved Parents Evening
Anam Cara Parent Evening will be in the Horse and Jockey Hotel on Monday 15th January from 7.30 to 9.00. The event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died. Be among people who understand.

Parents Baptism Prayer
Lord, we have asked to have our child baptised. We accept the wonder and privilege of having our child brought into the Family of God. As our child grows up we know we are involved in handing on the faith to our child and to value our child’s attachment to God through prayer and the sacraments and the care God will take of our child, all through life. Amen.
