Year of Mercy Reflection
God’s mercy overcomes every barrier and Jesus’ hand touches the leper. Action: Are there social barriers you need to overcome and so become an instrument of mercy?.
Year of Mercy Celebration
Year of Mercy Celebration will be in Sacred Heart Church, Templemore on Sunday October 9th at 7.00. It will include Reflection, Song and Praise. Music and singing will be provided by the combined choirs of the local parishes. All are very welcome to what promises to be a wonderful celebration.
Parish Development October Draw
400 Parish Development October Draw will be on Monday 9th October in Gortnahoe Hall at 8.00 . As this is the final Draw of the present year it marks the work of organising the 400 members of the new Draw which will be in November. All promoters, both old and new, are invited to come along to next Monday night’s meeting. All parishioners are invited to join the new Draw so that the work of the parish can continue. Come on Monday night.
Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole: Wednesday Adoration 10.00 to 8.00.
Gortnahoe: Thursday, Adoration, 10.00 to 7.00.
Come and spend an hour.
Special Adoration Occasion will be on Saturday 15th October in St. Patrick’s College Thurles from 9.00 to 1.00. Come along.
21st Anniversary Bingo
21st Anniversary Gortnahoe Bingo will be on Saturday 15th October. Prizes will be €2,500 plus Bonus plus Lucky Line. Come along and make it a great night in the parish.
Gortnahoe-Glengoole Parish Annual Publication
Very quickly we are coming to the final date for receiving photographs, articles, reports and everything else for this years Annual. Finish up all for the Annual during the coming week This year the special section will deal with life in the 1980s. All photos, news, etc of that period will be most welcome. All items can be sent by email to parishannual@gortnahoe.com or to any member of publishing group, or to the priests or to Gortnahoe post office. We depend on you.
Parent Bereavement Night
Anam Cara Parent Bereavement Night will be in The Horse and Jockey Hotel on Monday 17th October at 7.30. All are welcome.
MFRC, Glengoole
Light Engine Maintenance – free course will be run in the Centre on Tuesday mornings, 10.00 to 12.00 for six weeks, starting 11th October. Contact Centre Number 052 9157992 to book a place.
Ear Candling Clinic will be on Friday 21st October in the Centre..
